Mini Safety Cones
The standard A Frame Safety Signs
have been around for decades with
the Yellow sign now so common
that in fact most people no longer
notice the sign – more to the
point, with such well lite shops and
shopping malls, the yellow sign is
lost in the background.
It is for this reason that Glomesh
NZ were the first to introduce A
Frame Safety in Pink and then
Orange some years ago – so it
would stand out.
However, another inherent
problem of A Frame safety Signs
is that it is a very simple item
consisting of two pieces of plastic
joined by a plastic hinge that
stands only approximately 50cm
high when splayed out..
It is also very light weight and a
gust of wind can quite easily knock
In other words, it is a fragile,
sometimes brittle and hard to see
so relatively ineffective plastic
Glomesh NZ has introduced the
60cm three sided Wet Floor Safety
Cone in both Yellow and Lime Green. This cone is only slightly
more expensive then most A Frame Safety Signs, however it
does stand 60cm high, is visible from all sides, not just two, and
is extremely sturdy so a lot harder to crack or break and then
an A Frame Safety Sign.
The end result is that while the cost is slightly more then an A
Frame, as it is so much more durable they are being replaced l
a lot less regularly and so over time, it in fact works out to be
substantially less expensive.
Steel Safety Sign
Plastic safety signs are essential
in the workplace for health and
safety reasons but as pointed out
above, the yellow plastic A Frame
Safety Signs are not just relatively
ineffective, but look cheap and
in the foyer or lobby of an office
building or at the entrance to a
good hotel, they almost look out
Glomesh NZ has the Gala
Stainless Steel Safety Sign. Made
out of a very heavy duty non-rust
stainless steel, these signs are
not only extremely effective as
safety warning signs, but also
can enhance the look of a
building entrance and more
importantly, are weather resistant
and will not blow over with a gust
Available as standard as a Wet
Floor Sign, the Gala Stainless Steel
Safety Sign can be customized
with any message on it.
The Gala Stainless Steel Safety
Sign goes hand in hand with the
Gala Umbrella bagger at entrances
which are designed to prevent
water dripping off wet umbrellas.
Combine the Gala Stainless
Steel Safety Sign with the Gala
Umbrella Bagger at an entrance
that has a Mat World customized
mat and you are going to have the
most attractive, highest quality
and safest entry slip deterrents
available on the market in New

So, what is Provito?
Some manufacturers offer floor
pads that are made from recycle
plastic bottles. This does delay
them from ending
up as landfill but does not
eliminate the problem.
The Glomesh Provito floor pad
range use plant-based fibers,
such as those derived from sugar
or corn. Treleoni (the USA based
manufacturer of Glomesh Floor
Pads) use plant-based polyester
fiber pads equal the performance
of virgin polyester pads.
These genuinely environmentally friendly pads can be used
for polishing, stripping, scrubbing, buffing and burnishing.
“Our claims are that we use less fossil fuel on the front
end during manufacture of the product and the product is
manufactured using plant-based material,” says Mazzoli,
President of Treleoni. “We’ve also achieved [U.S. Department
of Agriculture] certification for using plant-based fiber.”
We are constantly being bombarded with different opinions
from so called experts on climate change and the environment.
One expert will have their proof as to why we are suffering
climate change and the next day an opposing expert will have
their proof that everything is fine.
The end result for many is we either jump on one or the others
bandwagon or, like me, get so confused that we sit on the fence
not really knowing who to believe.
I believe that because of the confusion created by opposing
so called experts, this has made us so unsure that while we
care, we will not care enough to fork out more money to maybe
protect something that maybe broke?
It is my opinion while we care, we do not care enough to
pay extra money for something that might or might not make
All you need to do is ask people who already manufacturer
environmentally friendly toilet paper, chemicals, cleaning
products etc. at higher then normal prices how much
extra sales they get because their products are
Having said that, it is also my opinion that if something was
available, something that could possibly help the environment,
did not cost any more then what we are buying at the moment
and did as good or an even better job then what we are buying
at the moment, we would buy it as a preference!
This is why Treleoni, the USA manufacturers of the Glomesh
range of floor pads has not just introduced an environmentally
friendly range of floor pads; they have at the same time kept
the prices the same as their current range of floor pads.
The range goes by the name of Provito and Glomesh NZ
will soon be introducing the Provito environmentally friendly
floor pads in to New Zealand – same great quality as already
available at the same prices as being sold for now, but just
more environmentally friendly then the current Glomesh
range of pads.
As it is, Glomesh NZ is already doing their bit to help the
environment at no extra cost. It is in fact quite simple how we
are doing that, the better the quality of the pad the longer it
lasts the fewer pads required to do a job and so the less pads
for land fill. Makes sense doesn’t it!! And Glomesh are producing
without any doubt the highest quality most durable floor pad
currently available in New Zealand and so with the Glomesh
Provito pad, we are going one better again.
Do we REALLY care enough
about the environment?
